Today will be a pretty simple post.canned

Today will be a quick (well not really) recap on one of my favorite nights, in a while. I want to tell you guys about my night, last night, and share with you why I think God is great and what to expect from me in the next few months, regarding content. It isn’t that my content will be changing, but with the connections that I was able to snag last night, I think we will be adding a few huge! Post to the mix up. Let’s get to the explosion!

I was stupid! That is easy to say if you know what I did two months ago. I was stupid then but I think I know better now. But the choices that you make in life have to be paid for. For my payment, I was set to pay 10 hours to the community, set by the nice judging himself. I was going to use those hours at Goodwill and just get it over quick. Something happened to where Goodwill flaked out, so I was left without a place to work. This is when my wonderful sister-in-law told me to contact her church, which is where I have been attending, well if you call 1 Wednesday, every other month, attending, then yeah its where I have been attending. I gave her mom a call and I got set up with the required 10 hours, which was going to be spent setting up for a concert/canned food drive. This concert was called “The Explosion,” and let me tell you, it was exactly what they said it was; an explosion!

I got to the church (King of Kings Christian Assembly: 520 S. Livingston St. Springfield, Illinois.) at 1:30 and was met by one of the nicest guys I have ever met. His name is Roddrick Lemar. He is a local artist that has so much talent. I fan girled, let me be freaking serious, when he started to play the piano, or was it an organ? Ah, whatever. It was so smooth, almost like when my grandma use to play her piano. It was so soothing. What made it better was that he was just as nice. He was headlining the show, yet he was there cleaning with me? That is a humble servant if you ask me. During the time of us cleaning, he was calling all his buddies, ensuring that they were going to come and get some of the radiation of the blast. I know he was playing that night, but I think his heart was more pulling towards helping the hungry. See, what was awesome about this event was that the admission was just 5 simple cans of canned goods. I feel like anyone in the world can find 5 cans of canned goods, which makes it a cake walk to come to this event. Also, all canned goods get donated to the local breadline, a service that feeds family’s that can’t afford to buy food, that’s awesome!!!

After cleaning, we began to talk about Roddrick’s future projects. I won’t spam in this post because omg we are already at 500 words, but I will let you know that we have some great stuff coming to you! We both are excited to work together and can’t wait to see what God does. Stay tuned my little Randoms! Oh! By the way, you guys have a new nickname; you are now my little Randoms. Love it? Ah, who cares; you will grow to love it.

Fast forward to 7P.M.; it’s the start of the show. I have spent the day meeting new people, enjoying the fellowship and drinking Starbucks. It was time for the freaking show, the encore, THE EXPLOSION. This concert had local and not so local talents. One guy came from Ohio, other came from ST. Loius. Long story short, these artists drove just to play at this certain show, but were they good? Let’s get to the numbers and check it out. I laugh at the fact that you guys thought there were numbers..Geez X3

There were a total of 5 listed artists on the poster, but then an added two once the show started, with the run total being 3 hours; that is a set list time of 25 minutes per artist.

The first artist was Melvin Campbell, which I had little to no time to watch, since I was still collecting the cans! But from what I heard, the guy had a great voice. I went to find him after the show to talk, but I couldn’t find him anywhere, which really sucks. Either way, BOOM LINK to his social media.

Artist dose! This was an in-house (added) musician, I think his name was Ryan, which was also during the time of collecting cans, so I am sorry if you are reading this Ryan (?) but know I was there in spirit. He was more of a gospel singer and man did he get the house to erupt. Everyone was dancing, shouting and just having a good time.

The third artist, PJae was the first artist, which I actually got to watch. He is local, I believe, and man does he have a voice. He only did 2 songs, but between those two songs, he was able to impress me. So much that I got his contact info, after the show, and I’ll be promoting him in the near future.

So the show was already halfway over, I believe it was already 8:30 p.m. and we still had 2 artist to go. Ntegrity was next (name is spelt that way, because he wants to leave himself out.) He is the one that traveled from St. Louis to play at this show. He was great, also funny. There was time to stall (tech issues), so he told 2 very corny jokes that made the house explode (see what I did there?) in laughter. He was smooth in his rap delivery and you could tell that he had God’s gift to do this. I loved his song “Precious,” which I tagged to his Spotify, check it out!

The final act was none other than Roddrick’s band, B.O.C. When I was talking to Roddrick, I thought he was a straight rapper, meaning he only rapped. This was not the case, tonight. His performance was something special. When I was in college, I got the chance to watch Chicago Mass Choir in person. It was such a blessing, because they were so talented, and really made gospel music fun. WELLLLLLLLL B.O.C was nothing short from that experience. If I could describe this band, I would say it was a blended delight of KB (rapper) and the Chicago Mass Choir. He takes the upbeat parts of gospel, and blends it together with rap, leaving us with the tastiest smoothie you could ever have. I saw more people dancing, during his set, than I did at my own high school prom. Also more sweat than a sauna, but who cares. Laugh, guys, laugh!

So all these artist, plus one lively Mc, which was a comedian that goes by the name of Justus Blessed (link to a live comedy sketch) helped to make this night a success. I counted like 74 people, I believe. Which was a great outcome since everyone brought more than 5 canned goods. I think I saw a guy bring in 48 cans of beans, by himself. But even at 5 cans per head, we are looking at 420 cans of food that will be donated on Monday! The breadline is going to be so happy, and think! We were able to feed hungry people in the area.

I am so happy that Goodwill fell through, because I wouldn’t have wanted to miss this night. There was so much talent in the room that even Kevin Durant wanted to join. We, of course, told him to go back to Golden State and make up to Green. With all joking aside, I wanted to thank everyone that helped by donating. I can’t wait to see the managers face on Monday when we drop these canned goods off. It’s going to be so heartwarming.

I wanted to end this by saying; I also got prayer, tonight. It was like the night that I got saved. I could feel God all around me. It was just the refreshment that I needed. I am starting to believe that I made that one wrong decision for a reason. I think I needed the wakeup call, so that God could use me in many ways. WE don’t have any more time to talk about it (as my editor is going to be mad at me for having this post as long as it is, but boom! Link to his page) but I will have a blog talking about that in the near future. Anyway, I love my little Randoms, and have a peachy night!

If you want to donate to the breadline, $20 dollars can feed 10 people! Boom! Link!

What happened to Bart?

image

I have had a few people ask me what happened to Bart. The last time that we saw our friend, he was actually holding Jason Voorhees hostage. I didn’t know why he wanted a cage, but I bought it for him. I then came home to see Jason locked up. I tried to tell Bart about how serious this is, but he didn’t listen. He put the key up and went back to his life. This was suppose to be the end, but then Freddy had to show up. Freddy was granted a favor if he let Jason out. I don’t know the details, but I know that Freddy hurried to get the key and allow him to leave.

So what happened? The story will start again, soon. The story will involve Bart being terrified as he feels like someone is watching him. The only problem is that Freddy is playing with his mind, tricking him to think that Jason is still in the cell. This is when Bart thinks that he is just going crazy. He will lay his worries aside and will go back to living life.

If you know anything about Jason, you will know that he waits for the victim to slip up. This is when he will attack and start a war between the group. Freddy gets what he wants and he will leave, but I can promise that he will be back sooner than you think. He will play a huge role in the story, but for now Jason will fight alone. Bart might not be able to win this fight, but he is going to give it his all, even if it means he dies. Jason is pissed, so this is going to be a nasty fight, especially with the help that he has. Lets just say; the group has a lot to overcome. This is going to be an exciting story to tell. I hope that you will enjoy it. How do you think the story will end? Please tell me in the comments.

This was just a quick update to let you guys know that I am still telling a story here. Bart is still a big project on my mind. I have just been super busy, so I haven’t been able to do the photo shoots or anything with special effects. But, I plan on putting some time aside so I can get this done. Other than that, know that Bart is doing well, with his posse.

And it starts now!
I wanted to start this year off great, but that didn’t go as planned. I think I slept all day, yesterday. Yes. This is true; I did sleep all day yesterday. I went to work and came home to sleep until 5 a.m. today. I needed the sleep, but I forgot to write before I went to bed. This means that I forgot to post on New Years Day. This is great since I made a New Years Resolution to write more. Before you start to throw tomatoes, understand the situation.

image

I am tired of not being able to say “I have had good times!” This is why I went all out on New Years Eve. We decided to have a party at our house and lets say; WE GOT TURNT UP! We had one of the best nights, ever. The party didn’t get too out of control, but every single person had a great time, including myself.

We started out by eating pizza. We went cheap and got frozen pizza. But the frozen pizza was even good. I think we had the pizza for only ten minutes. After the pizza, we all got the table set up for some fun. The fun was to start with a few games of Beer Pong. We bought the crappy, cheap beer so that people would suffer from the taste. I was on fire during the first few matches, but my team lost all the matches. This was a great start for what was about to happen.

Now, know that I am not a drinker. I have been drunk once before and it didn’t turn out good. This time it was different. We all gathered around the table and took shots of all different alcohols, while making silly jokes about everything in life. We got hungry in the middle of the alcohol so we started to eat pizza rolls. We also stopped so we could watch the ball drop and play some COD. But once the ball dropped, we were all back in the kitchen, tipping back some harder drinks than before.

It was 3am in no time. This is when the really funny stuff began to happen. I wont name any names, but Ross got a pitcher of Gatorade thrown on him, Frank threw up first then cried, I fell off a chair and hit my head, Harold was making gay passes towards me, and Henry fell through a door. All this lead up to Frank breaking our couch. He was sloppy drunk and tried to lie down on the couch. Well, he is overweight and landed directly on the arm of the couch. Luckily, this isn’t a couch that we care about and have wanted to throw away for a few years, so it was funny to see him fall. At this point, we were tipsy at least, so anything was funny, honestly. I don’t remember every detail, but I know that the party stopped at 3:15 a.m. and I had to be at work at 5 a.m.

I wasn’t drunk, but even working tipsy was going to be a challenge. Luckily, I was only there to help our GM with counts, but even that was a challenge. My GM was okay with me coming in with alcohol in my system, and she knew that I had been drink; she made the comment “Damn, I can smell the booze on you!” This was followed by a long laughter and a offer of some nausea medicine. I declined the medicine, of course, but we made jokes the whole time about what happened the night before.

I only worked until 12, but those were the longest hours, eveeeeeerrrrrr. I had to wait for my ride (because I don’t drink and drive!) which showed up at 12:30. When I got home, I was shocked on how fast I fell asleep. I slept all the way through the night, with only waking up to eat pizza. I finally woke up at 5 a.m.

Now, after the night of adventure, I am starting this 365 days in a row posting challenge. I know I can do it, but know it might be hard! Either way, I want to say one thing. If you are young, do what young people do. This doesn’t mean you have to drink. Do what you think will make you feel like your age. Life is too damn short to feel like you’re in prison! Live like your last day is tomorrow, or you will wake up in 40-years, wishing you could go back and live. Don’t be that girl/boy. Live now!

We have had the first snow of the season! This is amazing, this is the best day of our lives. If you disagree, then you are with me 100%. I am regretful to say that I hate the fact it snowed. I don’t like to be wet, I don’t like to have frozen toes and the last thing; dumb ass drivers. Yes, I hate winter, not because of the cold(because I love the cold,) but more because drivers get stupid during winter.

Have you ever been behind someone during the winter? If you are me, you will get behind someone that brakes every three seconds and drive 10 mph in a 55mph zone, and if you are me you begin to scream at the top of your dang lungs. I can’t stand drivers that change how they drive because of the weather. I can understand slowing down so you don’t lose control, but go a decent speed limit! And if you can’t do a decent speed limit, then get the hell off the road so the real drivers can get to where they need to go.

These drivers put everyone at risk because you never know what they are going to do. I was behind a person one day, driving home from work, and all of sudden they slammed on their brakes. It was snowing and I guess they felt like they were losing control. Either way, they slammed on their brakes. Now, since I am an active driver, I saw that they were stopped seconds late.  I didn’t hit the car, but I remember putting my foot to the floor and praying to slowly slide to the stop, in which I did. I came inches from hitting the car. The worse part is that they didn’t have a good reason to drive so cautious. Yes, it was snowing but it wasn’t that bad. They were simply just too cautious and didn’t want to wreck, but they almost caused a wreck in the process. I find myself staring at cars, making sure everyone is doing their part to keep the streets safe, but what if this wasn’t the case. I would have ended up in that cars ass, which could have left someone dead!

I hate how people think that a small storm is something to freak out about. It is simply snow or rain, its not like fire is falling from the sky! If you aren’t stupid, then you wont get into a wreck, but being too cautious is also dangerous!!!! I told you a story about a car that was being too safe. I don’t know why those people were braking over and over, but I do know there are more people like that on the road, so be careful and drive safe.

For one, I am so freaking sore!
I just got out of the shower, but I don’t feel any better. Actually, I feel worse! I don’t know what to say, I am one old fart that cant stay healthy. Who knew that going outside could do something so horrible, but it can….Remember that! Remember that outside is dangerous… Nothing serious happened, just a busy day, yesterday. My family and I went to a waterpark. Since I am a beast at my job, they gave me free tickets (Not serious, I had to work) so we were able to get in free! No one passes up a free day at a waterpark, other than aliens…they might. While at this water park, I involved myself in some crazy activities that led me to hurt, really bad.
The thing that hurts the most is my back, arms and legs. Let us talk about my back first. I think my back hurts from punting the other night. Things happened, the other night, and I spent a hour punting a football. Being the first time (in quite awhile) I should have stopped after a few minutes, but I didn’t. From kicking the football to my foot placement I must have pulled something. This isnt so bad, I usually have backaches (From scoliosis) but adding this to the other pains really blows!
From my back we must go up to my arms! My arms are small chopsticks that don’t get much action. I use to work out a lot, but I have gotten really lazy and have failed to workout in months. My arms aren’t as they use to be, which isnt good when you want to get active again. While at the waterpark, I was able to go to a driving range, also a pretty awesome batting cage. The golfing could have caused my back pain, also, but I don’t know. The golfing caused blisters on my palms and my shoulders to hurt. Being stupid, I went into the batting cage right after. The bats sucked, so when I hit the balls, the bat refused to work, causing a long vibrating through my arms! While hitting the balls, I felt my bicep being pulled, also. This is why my arms are so sore, but why my feet? Thanks for asking, babe!
Of course, my right foot hurts because of the punting, but the right foot has another reason to hurt. The reason for the other pain is from the water! There is an amazing ride at the waterpark that I rode a few times. This ride is like a big toilet bowl, mainly you go down a slide into a big bowl that spins you around, after spinning you fall into the water below! I really enjoy this ride, so much that I rode it the most. It was really fun, but I had an accident the first time going. The woman told me what to do, cross your feet and slide. I did that, but at the end my foot came out and caught a piece of the slide. During the impact I felt my leg being pulled back. I watched as my foot bent all the way back. There was a sharp pain in my hip followed by a long agonizing pain in my ankle. It felt like I ripped a muscle, but I didn’t, thankfully! I was able to walk away from the ride and continue the day, but it started hurting worse today!
I woke up with a huge pain in my ankle, a pain that I thought would keep me out of work, but I was able to get over the hill and go to work. The pain got worse through work. I got to come home after 10 hours, only to be struck with everything. All of my limbs became stiff and I was unable to do anything. My back caused me to slump over or else I couldn’t breathe. The rest of my body was stiff enough where I couldn’t move quickly. This is when I decided to take a shower. The shower did everything, but make it better! The hot water only caused my back to hurt more. I don’t know what I should do, but I am going to pop a few pills and go to bed.
I had a great time yesterday and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I passed my exam and I deserved to have fun, I just didn’t know it was going to lead to this. Though I am in pain,  I would go back and do it again. Everyone deserves to relax. That is why I am telling you this, don’t allow stress to overbear you. Instead, find something that you guys love to do and do it!

After a long day, I was suppose to go to work. You know I did, but the worse part is that I got sicker. I had a sinus infection, but then it seemed that I was getting an ear infection. Either way, I got through the night, and now I am here, a day later, getting ready to tell you guys the best news ever.
Today, I was off with my wife, and we wanted to find something to do. We decided to go shopping. She has been looking for a season of greys anatomy, but she can’t find it. After we discussed her buying the season offline we went to  Five Below. While in the store, Ariel found a new band for her Fitbit that is baby blue. We were quickly in and out, but before we checked out we grabbed something amazing. We grabbed a funnel cake to do kit!

image

Ariel loves funnel cakes, but hates waiting until the fair to get one. I have always been sceptical about this kit, as this wasn’t the first time we have seen it, but today I was feeling a bit adventurous, so we got it! She was very happy about that.
After our trip to Five Below, We went to best buy. We were looking for the second season of CW’s Izombie. I know the show is about a zombie detector that can see a victims pass by eating their brains, other than that I’m not a big fan. I like zombies, I enjoy The Walking Dead and watch every episode, but I can’t get into this show. I find it boring and a disgrace to the zombie genre. Any who, I bought Ariel season two and she is now watching it. But just a few minutes ago we got to do the best thing, ever. We made the funnel cakes.
Just add water, pour some grease into a pan, heat the oil and avoid the pops, then pour the batter in the Pan, in a circular motion, and wait for it to cook. It only takes a few seconds to make it, and they taste super amazing. I added some powder sugar to mine, as Ariel added strawberries to hers. I think we spent 2 dollars on the mix and the bottle, and it was definitely worth it! I love them! I’m don’t have a huge love for funnel cakes, mainly because of their price, so to be able to enjoy them for cheap really makes me happy.
Tonight, we are able to stay in and relax. I have been sick, so it will be an early night for me. For dinner we got to enjoy the funnel cakes. Now we are spending a couple hours enjoying each other’s company as we watch another episode of IZombie. I hope I don’t die From boredom, but if I do atleast I will be dieing happy!

P.s. I will have a explanation for yesterday’s post, tomorrow!

It was time for me to stop fearing, because it wasn’t something to fear about, this was going to shake my life for the good, nothing bad was going to come from this. I felt something pull on my heart telling me everything was going to be fine. Even though at first, I didn’t believe that, as I stood in the middle of the empty highway, I began to feel safe again.

image

I am sleepy, but I know I need to get up from the mattress, get dressed, and head down to my ride. They will be leaving in 15-minutes, and today is one day that I can’t miss. My dad has yelled at me three times, to get up, but something doesn’t want me to go.
My head is heavy, even though I went to bed early the night before. I think it might be a nervous feeling, I mean today is the day that my life changes. I have been waiting for this day, my whole life, well since I gave up on pleasing myself, to please someone else. It has been two weeks since that night at the loft, and I still feel the energy that I did that night. The night that changed, how I felt about religious beliefs and church. Today is the day that I go down a sinner and come up saved by grace. I got out of the sheets that tangled my legs and went to the bathroom. My hair was a mess, my eyes were puffy, and my armpits were on fire. I didn’t have the time to mess with that though, I should have woke up and took a shower, but that wasn’t the plan, the plan was that everything would have worked itself out, but it didn’t. I quickly wet my hair, brushed my teeth, and threw on a nice shirt, that was acceptable for church. I walked into my room and grabbed the bag, full of more clothes, for after the service.
I walked out of the house with a little less than 5-minutes before departure, all to remember that I forgot deodorant. I sniffed my armpits, that were still ripe from late night basketball, and almost died. This is one thing that I needed to take care of, so I told my dad to go down and tell them I will be there, and not to leave. He told me to hurry up, which I did. I ran inside grabbed, what I could find, and left. I made great timing, everyone was boarding the two cars when I arrived. When I got there, the teens greeted me, like I was finally one of them, something I never felt like before. I got in the truck, after throwing my bag in the bed, and put my headphones in.
The whole ride there, I was thinking about the decision I was making today. This means that I could no longer do what everyone else does, I replayed in my head as I looked out of the window. I knew that It was the right decision, but the more I thought about it, the less I wanted to do it. I didn’t want to be different from everyone else, but at the same time, I still wasn’t. I was never one of the guys, or a popular guy, so what did I have to lose? I was about to gain a new level of happiness that was promised to me. I knew it was worth the looks I would get, to live for something with purpose for once, to do something for me for once. I thought I believed that, but the closer we got, the more I wanted to jump out of the car. It wasn’t that I didn’t want to take the step, it was the questions on what would I do after? Do I go back to the old Blake, what was the new Blake even-like?
I feared that I was jumping the gun, and I was about to fall flat on my face! But even if I wanted to back out, it was too late to. I was already at the church, well before time, which is great, now I have even more time to fear the worse. Everyone got out of the truck, and went into the building, except for me. I decided to stay outside for a while, and talk to God.
The morning due was still on the grass. The wet grass caused my shoes to get wet, and then my socks got soaked. Of course, I figured this was a sign from God, telling me not to go through with the plan. I was okay with not going through with the plan, but when I was about to pull the plug, something inside stopped me.
I started to get the feeling that I had the first night, the night that I said “yes” to follow something bigger than me. So as I stood in the middle of that empty highway, with damp socks and a freeing body, I chose to stop worrying about what would be said at school. The people would either expect it, or they wouldn’t. Their opinions never meant much to me anyways. This choice is my choice, and I chose to do it, and that was final. I sat back down on the church steps, and prayed, one-last-time before the service began.
The wind began to pick up, sending a unsettle chill through  my feet. I finished the prayer, and walked inside to find a pew in the middle of the sanctuary. I usually would sit with the rest of the teens, but today I wanted to focus on getting ready for the service, so I forced myself to sit away from them.
The pastor finished his sermon, which rocked my mindset. I can’t remember what it was about, I just remember that I was bawling my eyes out, knowing that I needed the message. I got up from the pew, and got some prayer. But that wasn’t the end of that service, oh no, the best was about to happen. I got up off my knees, and went back to the front row pew, to hear the pastor introduce six young people to the stage, myself included.
I wiped my tears from my eye socket, and walked to the front. I stared out into the crowd, their faces were shining as bright as the sun. The were happy with our commitment that we were about to make, some were even crying. I was guessing the ones that were crying, were family members of the other five, up here. I simply gave a half-grin and turned towards the pastor as he spoke; “We are gathered in unity to bless these young men, as they chose to give their old-self up to follow, our Lord. We now get to witness them being reborn, in the ceremony of baptisms. We are overjoyed that we get to share with you guys.”
We were then instructed to go get dressed in the clothes we brought, which included my black shirt with gym shorts. I was last in line, I got to witness 5 go before me, and come up a new man. There was one man that raised through the water, like a cannon, he shot through the water, screaming “Hallelujah.” I began to get nervous, thinking about what I should say. I quickly rejected that thought, and gave it up to God.
It was my turn. I walked up to the giant tub of water, looked into it. I had one last time to turn around, and walk away. But I said no, and got into the water. The pastor had me repeat the words that he said, which I did. Then he pushed my head back into the water. The water was warm, but that wasn’t what I felt. When I was submerged into the water, my heart dropped. The water was electric, it sent shocks through my body, ones that I only felt during the youth rally. I knew at this moment, there was something in the water, with me, it was God. The submerging only lasted a few seconds, but it felt like years to me. I went down, felt the shock, also I felt the chains of my past break, my abuse story was light on my mind, my past sins and lies seemed to be erased.
I felt that I was sent through a master reset, like one of a computer. My hard drive was cleared, and new software was installed, software that led me to believe, it was time to change the world. I didn’t realize that the pastor brought me up out of the water, I stood there for a second, before my arms shot up in the air. I felt overjoyed, almost to where I leaped out of the water, but I contained myself enough to scream “Amen.” I don’t remember shouting though, someone told me months later, while I was talking to them about it. I was happy to hear that, since I didn’t want to think I copied anyone. That moment in the water, changed my life, forever.
Even if I don’t follow the rules as close as I should, that day has always been an outline for me. I feel that day wasn’t about religion. Yes, of course, it was a church event, and I did it for God, but that day not only freed me for God, but it also gave me the power to free myself. If that day wouldn’t of happened, I would still be fighting the pain of my past, and probably would have lost, by now.  I thank God, that I didn’t lose my cool, and left that day. If I would have, I don’t know where I would be today!

I was watching a show one night, and an infomercial came on. The guy said that he had something for me, and that I should call right away. Since the object was free, I gave the man a call. The operator told me that my package would arrive, in 3-7 days. I waited patiently for the package, as if I was receiving the cure for cancer, but the question was, is it?
Leroy Jenkins, a famed pastor and leader of a T.V. broadcast, was sending out free vails of ‘holy water.’ I was skeptical of the water, but it was too cool to pass up on, and since it was free, why not get a sample? So as said before, I called the operator. I gave the pretty lady my address, phone number, age, and a sample of blood. She replied that she didn’t need that information, but I continued. Finally, I hung up the phone, after she told me that the water was on its way.

I sat at the door, of my sisters apartment, between 10-11 a.m. waiting for the mail man. The feeling I had while waiting was one of a dog, waiting on its owner to return from work. I honestly was excited about the water, mainly due to how stupid the man made it sound. But if it worked, then I would be able to give it to those who are sick. I would be able to do miracles, like Jesus. This was all in Jesus’ name, of course.

The water was delivered three days later than it was to come. I almost forgot what I was waiting on, but when the package came, I quickly regained my memory. I ripped open the envelope, and pulled out a small piece of plastic. The plastic had one drop of water in it, not even enough to clinch my thirst, so I hung it up and counted it as a win. I didn’t want to use the water, since there wasn’t much left, so I didn’t tell anyone about it.

After a few weeks, a letter came to my mailbox, from Leroy. The letter was telling me that he was praying for me, this was a nice gesture, but that wasn’t it. He went on to tell me that he received a prophecy from God. According to the note, God told him that I was suppose to give him an offering, one equaling up to $250. I laughed at the attempt, and threw the piece of paper away, but kept the pretty prayer cloth, he sent.

One week later, Leroy reached out again, attempting to get a offering again. This time, he told me that God wants me to test my faith. He was told by God that I need to give $400 to the ministry. I got angry at the fact that he reached out again, because how was I to offer something I didn’t have? At this time I was jobless, which meant I had no cash. Why would God tell him to have me tithe, when he knew my situation, then it clicked.

There are people out there, that are falling apart and want God to love them. They hear these fancy words from a Servant of God, and they feel compelled to give. This usually leads to the people falling behind on bills, leading to a hatred formed due to their faith being misled. Jesus didn’t want them to tithe that much, he wanted them to tithe their best, but since this one man wanted to grow his bank account, they gave something they didn’t have. All God wants from us, is our heart. He could care less about your money, what does he need that for? Should you tithe (if you believe in that)? Yes, in order for the church to operate. Should you give what you don’t have? No, you give what you can, not what someone says God wants. If you didn’t get a certain message from God, then you should pray more.

Now this story is to those who believe in religion. If you don’t believe in God, then take this as a lesson, to never listen to those on T.V. offering unrealistic things. I see infomercials all the time, offering things that seem to good, that’s because it is. They are in it for the money. It sucks that this man was lying though, because if the water was as amazing, as he said, big things could have happened!
