Today will be a pretty simple post.canned

Today will be a quick (well not really) recap on one of my favorite nights, in a while. I want to tell you guys about my night, last night, and share with you why I think God is great and what to expect from me in the next few months, regarding content. It isn’t that my content will be changing, but with the connections that I was able to snag last night, I think we will be adding a few huge! Post to the mix up. Let’s get to the explosion!

I was stupid! That is easy to say if you know what I did two months ago. I was stupid then but I think I know better now. But the choices that you make in life have to be paid for. For my payment, I was set to pay 10 hours to the community, set by the nice judging himself. I was going to use those hours at Goodwill and just get it over quick. Something happened to where Goodwill flaked out, so I was left without a place to work. This is when my wonderful sister-in-law told me to contact her church, which is where I have been attending, well if you call 1 Wednesday, every other month, attending, then yeah its where I have been attending. I gave her mom a call and I got set up with the required 10 hours, which was going to be spent setting up for a concert/canned food drive. This concert was called “The Explosion,” and let me tell you, it was exactly what they said it was; an explosion!

I got to the church (King of Kings Christian Assembly: 520 S. Livingston St. Springfield, Illinois.) at 1:30 and was met by one of the nicest guys I have ever met. His name is Roddrick Lemar. He is a local artist that has so much talent. I fan girled, let me be freaking serious, when he started to play the piano, or was it an organ? Ah, whatever. It was so smooth, almost like when my grandma use to play her piano. It was so soothing. What made it better was that he was just as nice. He was headlining the show, yet he was there cleaning with me? That is a humble servant if you ask me. During the time of us cleaning, he was calling all his buddies, ensuring that they were going to come and get some of the radiation of the blast. I know he was playing that night, but I think his heart was more pulling towards helping the hungry. See, what was awesome about this event was that the admission was just 5 simple cans of canned goods. I feel like anyone in the world can find 5 cans of canned goods, which makes it a cake walk to come to this event. Also, all canned goods get donated to the local breadline, a service that feeds family’s that can’t afford to buy food, that’s awesome!!!

After cleaning, we began to talk about Roddrick’s future projects. I won’t spam in this post because omg we are already at 500 words, but I will let you know that we have some great stuff coming to you! We both are excited to work together and can’t wait to see what God does. Stay tuned my little Randoms! Oh! By the way, you guys have a new nickname; you are now my little Randoms. Love it? Ah, who cares; you will grow to love it.

Fast forward to 7P.M.; it’s the start of the show. I have spent the day meeting new people, enjoying the fellowship and drinking Starbucks. It was time for the freaking show, the encore, THE EXPLOSION. This concert had local and not so local talents. One guy came from Ohio, other came from ST. Loius. Long story short, these artists drove just to play at this certain show, but were they good? Let’s get to the numbers and check it out. I laugh at the fact that you guys thought there were numbers..Geez X3

There were a total of 5 listed artists on the poster, but then an added two once the show started, with the run total being 3 hours; that is a set list time of 25 minutes per artist.

The first artist was Melvin Campbell, which I had little to no time to watch, since I was still collecting the cans! But from what I heard, the guy had a great voice. I went to find him after the show to talk, but I couldn’t find him anywhere, which really sucks. Either way, BOOM LINK to his social media.

Artist dose! This was an in-house (added) musician, I think his name was Ryan, which was also during the time of collecting cans, so I am sorry if you are reading this Ryan (?) but know I was there in spirit. He was more of a gospel singer and man did he get the house to erupt. Everyone was dancing, shouting and just having a good time.

The third artist, PJae was the first artist, which I actually got to watch. He is local, I believe, and man does he have a voice. He only did 2 songs, but between those two songs, he was able to impress me. So much that I got his contact info, after the show, and I’ll be promoting him in the near future.

So the show was already halfway over, I believe it was already 8:30 p.m. and we still had 2 artist to go. Ntegrity was next (name is spelt that way, because he wants to leave himself out.) He is the one that traveled from St. Louis to play at this show. He was great, also funny. There was time to stall (tech issues), so he told 2 very corny jokes that made the house explode (see what I did there?) in laughter. He was smooth in his rap delivery and you could tell that he had God’s gift to do this. I loved his song “Precious,” which I tagged to his Spotify, check it out!

The final act was none other than Roddrick’s band, B.O.C. When I was talking to Roddrick, I thought he was a straight rapper, meaning he only rapped. This was not the case, tonight. His performance was something special. When I was in college, I got the chance to watch Chicago Mass Choir in person. It was such a blessing, because they were so talented, and really made gospel music fun. WELLLLLLLLL B.O.C was nothing short from that experience. If I could describe this band, I would say it was a blended delight of KB (rapper) and the Chicago Mass Choir. He takes the upbeat parts of gospel, and blends it together with rap, leaving us with the tastiest smoothie you could ever have. I saw more people dancing, during his set, than I did at my own high school prom. Also more sweat than a sauna, but who cares. Laugh, guys, laugh!

So all these artist, plus one lively Mc, which was a comedian that goes by the name of Justus Blessed (link to a live comedy sketch) helped to make this night a success. I counted like 74 people, I believe. Which was a great outcome since everyone brought more than 5 canned goods. I think I saw a guy bring in 48 cans of beans, by himself. But even at 5 cans per head, we are looking at 420 cans of food that will be donated on Monday! The breadline is going to be so happy, and think! We were able to feed hungry people in the area.

I am so happy that Goodwill fell through, because I wouldn’t have wanted to miss this night. There was so much talent in the room that even Kevin Durant wanted to join. We, of course, told him to go back to Golden State and make up to Green. With all joking aside, I wanted to thank everyone that helped by donating. I can’t wait to see the managers face on Monday when we drop these canned goods off. It’s going to be so heartwarming.

I wanted to end this by saying; I also got prayer, tonight. It was like the night that I got saved. I could feel God all around me. It was just the refreshment that I needed. I am starting to believe that I made that one wrong decision for a reason. I think I needed the wakeup call, so that God could use me in many ways. WE don’t have any more time to talk about it (as my editor is going to be mad at me for having this post as long as it is, but boom! Link to his page) but I will have a blog talking about that in the near future. Anyway, I love my little Randoms, and have a peachy night!

If you want to donate to the breadline, $20 dollars can feed 10 people! Boom! Link!

Let us be thankful for today is another day, but also because this day is Thanksgiving. I have a lot to be thankful for as I hope you guys do, also! Some of the many things I am thanking God for are; my job, my family, healthy bodies (wife and mine,) the freedom to do as I want, and you guys.

I am thankful for this blog. I am thankful that you guys still read my material. My heart is warmed by your kind words and your heart filled messages. You guys are awesome. You guys are more of my family than anyone else, so thank you guys!

Also, I am thankful for the chance to still be here. I have been in the right place to be severally hurt, yet I always end up being safe. The Lord has looked out for me, especially with this last accident. I could have been majorly injured, yet I walked away without a scratch. Not only that, but I also was able to get a new car quickly. Even in the bad, I am still found thankful for the things that I have been through.

That is what this is about, a day to stop worrying about everything, take a step back, and thank the Lord for everything you have. You might feel like you don’t have anything, but even if you are breathing, that is something to praise God for. He gave you another day, so be thankful!!!

Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours, I hope you have a great day. Don’t forget to stuff the bird before you stuff yourself! Also, what is your favorite dish? Mine is cornbread casserole.

Today marks two amazing, magical years with my wife. We said “I do” on this day in a local park. The day was pretty amazing, as we said our vows and ran for cover when the rain came down. The rain started moments after our ceremony, which to us meant good luck. But that is in the past, now we are living the high life. I try to stay up on my charm, so days like these let me prove I’m still a hopeless romantic! Trust me after today, I showed that! Lol!

I originally was scheduled to close (due to a scheduling flaw) but I switched that out with a co-worker (Big shoutout to Luke!) This gave me the day off, the perfect scenario to get everything together. I have been planning this day for a few months, so when I woke up, I was ready to get everything together. I had my money, my hat on backwards, and love in my heart for my princess, as I headed to Wal-Mart.

When I was there, I went shopping to get her flowers and a card. Though this was for her, I found myself also shopping for me. I found a big pack of pens, thirty for $2.50. It was a great deal so I got them. I have enough pens, but why not add more, right? Anyways, I went to the cards and picked out a cute card. That wasn’t the problem, the true problem came with finding the flowers. I was wanting a few dozen roses, but they only had 28 all together. That was fine, a dozen per year we have been married, but still Wal-Mart get a better selection…I was wanting a dozen of white and one of Red so I could mix them, but I had to settle for all red…How annoying.

After picking up the flowers and card, I headed home where I was about to write a sweet love letter. Ariel absolutely loves my notes, she says I don’t write her enough of them, so today I wrote her a pretty heartfelt and cute one. I then placed the note inside the card and sealed it. After the note, I went into the bedroom and took a nap. I was only wanting to take a half hour but ended up taking a full hour. Though I slept extra I was still way ahead of time. I decided to do some house chores including; Dishes, cleaning the bedroom, gathering trash and laundry. I surprisingly did these items pretty fast, leading me up to the departure. It was time to go surprise my wife at work. But first I had to stop at a comic book store. Ariel is huge fan of The Walking Dead and Darryl, this is why I went to a comic book store and bought her an action figure of Darryl and his brother, Merle.

I surprised her at work and asked her out on a date, she said yes. It was planned, we were going out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse, at 7pm. We did stop and get some small items, but other than that, we went home and laid around until the date.
We had a great night, the food was great and we had the coolest Waiter. This night was magical, too sad that it has to end. I don’t want it to end, but it has to. We have to get up pretty early, but I want to say one more thing.

Dear Ariel,
Thank you for being amazing. I didn’t think I would ever get married. I figured I was going to be the pastor of the weddings, never feeling the joy of my own. This was all until you came around. You opened my eyes to what real love is, for this I have to say thank you. If you were never to come around, I would still be a miserable, heartbroken teenager crying over everything. We have been through so much, but you never gave up on me, so thank you. I can’t wait to grow more with you. Two years is only the start, we have a big road coming, I’m glad to have you on this ride.
Love you,

*Sits down at my desk* Welcome guys, I wanted to start by saying thank you for stopping in. Today, I will be talking about a video I saw the other day. This was a pretty sad commercial, and I wanted to do a reaction video to it. *Turns on the T.V.* What is this? *Stares at T.V. as saliva forms* “Try Burger Kings Cheetos Chicken Fries, Today!” Oh hell yeah. *Gets up and runs out of the house.*

I drove for a whole two minutes, so that I could bring something to you guys. Freedom is a big topic right now, but I can promise I have found it. I have the Cheetos Chicken Fries! They were a pretty dollar for 8-pieces, but I was willing to pay $2.99 if that means I can taste freedom. Now, in front of you guys, I will try this amazing product. I was a huge fan of the Mac N’ Cheetos. Burger King nailed it with those, but they didn’t last. Now, they have made my night, again. They brought out a new product!

The smell alone made me happy, as I could smell the cheesiness from the chicken. The smell was good, but it started to fade as the product got colder. I felt my heart break as the scent was fully gone. Now what do I have? I have to try these! I need the deliciousness in my belly! *Honks Horn!* “Get out of the way, daddy has a special date” *speeds around car.*

*Runs through the front door and sits at my desk* Finally, I am home. The fries were still hot, as the crust was flaking off. All I could think about were real Cheetos! I love eating Cheetos Puffs, and the best part (to me) is when the cheese gets on my fingers. Though, the fries didn’t leave residue on my fingers, they did flake off the cheese onto my desk. I think I drooled a bit when the cheese hit the desk, I quickly took a big bite. The fry was tough on my teeth, even with being fresh, which I didn’t expect. Though the outing was hard, the warm chicken inside was freakily moist and delicious.

The chicken wasn’t the problem. The real problem was the crust taste! It tasted burnt. The FREAKING OUTING WAS BURNT!!! I can’t stand the taste of burnt things. The other thing that was upsetting was that they didn’t have a strong cheese taste. You could tell that they tried, but the cheese didn’t explode, instead it tasted like the regular chicken fries! This is great if you like Chicken fries, but I wanted CHEETOS!!!!! Don’t you dare play with my emotions, Burger King! Get your crap together!

Overall, I wouldn’t buy them, again. It’s not like I don’t like them, I just don’t like them $2.99 much. Their disappointment was equivalent to the Burritowhopper (Or whatever it was called) which after Mac N’ Cheetos, I thought that they would have excelled more…..But no! Instead they give us another crap in a box! Even if the box is sweet as hell!!!! But still *Frowny face* 

Rate 6/10. Try at your own risk!

Burger king rage!

This is another review for Burger King, (I really need to get some sponsorship, already) and today we will be taking a look at the new “Whopperritos.” Yes, BK has really released their best sandwich as a wrap, and yes I actually bought one. I only wanted a drink, on my way home from work, and I didn’t want to go to a gas station, so I figured BK was the best place to get a large Root beer. As I drove up to the store, I saw the promotion for their new items.

The biggest promotion was this thing called a “Whopperritos.” The name alone was great, tempting me into buying one for the fun of it. I told the intercom that I wanted the wrap and one large Root beer. The guy tried to sell me a large meal, but I wasn’t about that idea, so I told him that I was good. He told me my total, which was pretty expensive for a wrap, but I love to try new things, so I drove around to the window.

The guy was sitting behind the glass with my Root beer. He opened the window, took my money, and gave me my drink. After cashing me out, he came back and asked me to pull around, to the front of the store. I was confused, as they usually ask their guest to pull up, so I questioned him. He was sure he was right, as he told me that it was the front of the store. I pulled around the store and found a parking spot. My wife started a timer at this time, mainly to see if one wrap could take that long. I will show you the time, at the bottom, but let me say, it took a long ass time. I was actually tired of waiting, so I got out of my car and started to head inside, with my receipt.

As I got to the door,  the young man opened the door, with my bag in his hand. He held out the bag and apologized for the long wait. I don’t care about the wait, I just wanted my food. I got back into my car and pulled the wrap out. The wrap was super hot, indicating that is why I was waiting. I drove home, without touching the wrap. The smell of the heated tortilla left my stomach hurting. It was a delicious aroma that I didn’t want to wait for, but I knew I would make a huge mess, in my car, if I were to eat it while drive (Also safety kids!!!)

When I got home, I saw that our neighbors were surrounded by cops. (that has nothing to do with anything, just love my neighbors)
I walked inside and went straight for the kitchen. I pulled out my phone first, to take a picture of this treat, you know, before I tore it up. The Burrito was wrapped well, better than most Mexican places. I was impressed, but looks are deceiving, I had to try it! I took the first bite and was let down. The tortilla was blan, as the goodies are so tightly impacted into the center, this was almost enough for me to stop eating it. But since I wanted to review it, I had to continue. I took a bigger bite, this time. This time I was able to get some flavor. I must say that the sauce was weak, the tomatoes were nasty, but the pickles were amazing. The meat was fresh, which helped save some of my given points, also.

The wrap was like a whopper, but the after-taste left a awkward heat. The sauce must be a taco sauce of some kind or something, either way, BK should have used the original whopper sauce. This was no where close to Mac N’ Cheetos. The wrap was not worth the $4 I spent.

I wouldn’t recommend getting the burrito. All the flaws in the prepping plus the long wait, would have had me asking me for a refund, but I got my cold beverage, so I guess that’s enough to keep my mouth shut!

I usually enjoy new sandwhiches, but this time I didn’t have a good time. I hope that they really improve their next “special,” because they are really getting sloppy. Have you tried it? Tell me how you liked it!

Also, here is the wait time for the burrito!

I’m a guy, I love food! There is nothing that compares to a nice hot meal, at the end of the day. But the question is always “what sounds good?” That is why I want to tell you guys my top ten restaurants I eat at the most. This isn’t saying any other restaurant isn’t as good, it’s just saying that I eat here the most, making them my favorite. (This includes fast food and pizza shops)

10. Denny’s
9. Red lobster
7. Hunan
6. Papa John’s
5. Taco Bell
4. Chili’s
3. Red Robin
2. Texas roadhouse

Buffalo wild wings

What restaurant should be on my list, you decide 🙂

The other day, my friend came into work with tears in his eyes. I wanted to give him some space, so I went back to my work, but he wanted to talk. I stopped what I was doing, and listened to his words. He started by telling me that he messed up, and that he was in trouble. I thought that he said something, or cheated. I wouldn’t have expected what he would go on to tell me.
He told me that recently he invited his friend to come stay at his house. His friend had a fight with his girl, and needed to stay somewhere for a few days. He opened his house to this man without relenting. He would have not expected what was about to happen. He thought since this was his friend, that he could trust him.

The man got a call from his girlfriend, asking him to come back to her. He asked if my friend would be mad, he said no, and to go to her. The man moved out of the house, and went back to the girl. My friends life went back to normal with his wife. But then he woke up to the disaster.

He wanted to play video games before his eight-hour shift, so he got up early that morning. He walked down stairs in his boxers to see that his flat screen T.V. was missing. He ran to his connected garage to see that he was also missing his other T.V., Xbox one, Ps4 and, all of the games to go along with it. He knew that this was an act of his so-called-friend, but didn’t know where to find him. His wife was prompted to call the cops, as he came to work.

That was the last I heard about the story, until yesterday. He opens with me at our job, so we always have a little bit of time to talk before the day begins. He finally caught up to the man, and got his belongings back. He asked why the man did it, and he said he didn’t know. He also admitted that the daughter is the one that let him into the house. This raises a question in all of this, Who can we trust?

This weeks theme was “Trust” and who we need to trust, and who we shouldn’t. Should my friend trust this man ever again? Should he stay friends with this man? I couldn’t imagine the feeling that he is feeling, this is the man he has chilled with, and now he is tainted with invading his home. His daughter was there at the door, alone. What thoughts comes to mind about what could have happened? Could you trust someone that has invaded your privacy, as so?
