Let it feel like the very first time.
It doesn’t feel like Christmas time; well other than the horrid ice on the ground. For the last few years Christmas hasn’t felt like Christmas! I don’t know if its from being at work, a lot or if it is just not as magical as it use to be, but I don’t like it! I don’t like not feeling warm and cozy with family. I go back to being a kid and I started to thing; what does Christmas really feel like? Well, what did it feel like that is!

I go back to my childhood and all I remember was I didn’t buy gifts. Well, I bought my parents gifts if they gave me the money, but I never had to stress about what the perfect gift was. They were my parents, they were forced to love anything I got them; it was in the handbook!!!!!! The main thing was that they didn’t care what they got. But I never had to worry about the perfect gift, so I guess that is what put me in a magical mood for Christmas. Stress does amazing things to the body, especially make you hate the things you use to love.

We get so worked up over the perfect gift, that we forget to look at the things that we love. For me, it is the magical feeling of Christmas. For others, it could be the joy of making sugar cookies. Either way, we will want to buy the best present ever so we stress over what people think of a certain gift, causing a big stress bubble, also taking you away from doing the things that makes Christmas, Christmas.

To make a change we will need to do one thing; forget about presents. Who cares about presents, anyway? What you get someone will only last for two years, then those items will be replaced with new items; so why care about what present you get? Instead, why not make memories that will last a lifetime? As a child, I wanted to make non-bake cookies with mommy and then go to bed early. Then I would wake up early and sit on her lap and open presents, but that wasn’t what was important. I loved the time that we got the night before while watching movies and making snacks. If I didn’t get a present; who cares? Christmas is about joy. Don’t allow buying presents take that joy away from you!!!! That isnt the point of Christmas!

I love really love two things, winter and football. The winter air is the best, as I am a hot blooded male that sweats a lot. So when it snows and the air chills, my body starts to cool down and I actually feel comfortable. Then there is also football! NFL season is coming around the corner, which means my Sundays will be full, again. I am excited about the NFL season, but there is something more amazing coming, that is football in the snow! NFL lasts through winter, which garuntees that we will be having at least one snowy game! I love snowy football games. The game is changed when it snows. The players have to take better percussion, as the snow will keep them sliding the whole game. This makes me wonder, which of the Maddens has the best “Heavy snow” football experiences?

Luckily I have most of the Maddens, as I am missing anything before 07, and 08, 11. Even though I am missing a few games, I still have enough information to bring you guys an amazing Top 5 “Frosty gridiron experiences.”

This will be graded by three things; Does the snow slow down players? (Effect of snow) Does the snow look real? How covered is the field? This will show us how the snow effects gameplay, if the graphics give us a merry experience, and if the experience is realistic, as “heavy snow” should cover the field by halftime! Lets see what game meets our standards!!!!!!

5.  Madden 09- I noticed that all the previous games were bad at keeping the snow the same, but this game at least started the game with a lot of snow on the ground. The sky is blue in the game, though, making it a little awkward to play in. The snow also doesn’t effect the game play, as I was able to run back a fumble with Brian Urlacher. I wasn’t super impressed, but compared to others, this is defiantly a 5 spot game.

4. Madden 12- During the pre-game, you get to see the snow falling, and all I can say is “wow!). The pre-game is actually better than the actual gameplay! The plus was that the snow was amazing. I would have to say that the snow was realistic as the ground was covered with snow, after Halftime!

image

      3. Madden 10- This was the funnest experience for me, and it wasn’t for the graphics, I would have this in the number 1 spot, but the snow stayed the same way the whole game! The big plus was that the snow affected the players! I was playing against the Colts, led by Peyton “The Sherriff” Manning, during the game play, Peyton actually slid on the field leading to a sack! This was after the snow slowed Hester down and caused him to trip and fall to the ground (No one was around.)

2. Madden 15- Let me start this by saying “I wasn’t that impressed!” Madden added a few snow piles behind the end zone, which is to make you feel that the cleaned the field before the game, and that was the reason that there isnt much snow on the field. The gameplay isn’t affected, again, which kind of pisses me off. If Madden 10 was able to add this, then we should have a bigger effect in one of the newest games. Nonetheless, the snow continues to layer on the field, and by the end of the halftime, you get to play on a packed field, yet the lines are still showing.

     2. Madden 25- The first letdown of this game was, there was no snow during the pre-game. I saw Culter talking to Marshall, on the sideline, but there wasn’t a snow flake in sight? The big plus was that, after halftime, you can see a huge change in the field. This was pretty impressive, minus the fact that all the lines are still showing. If it was snowing heavy, and with halftime only being 20 minutes (if that), how would the ground crew be able to shovel the lines? The gameplay wasn’t really affected, but I also had the amazing Forte in my backfield. Overall, Madden finally got the snow situation under control, but then fucked up in the very next game…..SMDH.

This was horrible…..Madden has changed since ’15, and the next generation games are so much better, but it upsets me that they couldn’t make snow realistic, sooner…….there isn’t even a number 1 game……

Don’t agree? Tell me what you think should be changed! Also tell me what I should analyze next!

What would it be like?

What would it be like to star in a movie? Though being an actor isn’t in my future, the idea of writing a movie is still exciting and alive. A few days ago I was tagged in a status, by a friend, about making a movie. The status was saying that if Sharknados was made, then anyone can make a movie. This made me think, what would it be like to write a movie? Then the thought of my past came up, and I remembered that I once started to write a movie.

It was going to be a horror movie. A group of survivors were going to be stuck in an apartment, and every time they would try to leave, the killer would then chase them. Since the apartment only had one exit, this killer could easily pick off his victims. This is what made it hard for the survivors. They would try to gang up on the killer, but every time they did, the killer would fight back. He was stronger than them, so it would force them back inside.

The killer was outside, the victims were inside. They were trying to find a way out, but nothing was working. Since the killer was secured outside, the victims began to relax. They sat back, popped open the cans of beer and enjoyed their company. The night was growing old, and they were winding down. After locking the door, they all went to bed. When they woke up, they saw that the killer was gone. The building wasn’t damaged, as the night before, and the cars tire was fixed. But as they went to leave, they noticed that the lock was removed and turned around, putting the lock on the outside. As they got scared, they heard a man in the house. It was the killer.

This was when I was a beginning writer, but the idea is funny to me now. I would never publish this idea or even attempt to re-write the script, but when my friend tagged me in the post; I began to believe in myself, even more. Maybe one day, I will be a publish writer and one of my stories could become a movie! That would be a dream come true! But for now I will keep writing and keeping the faith. I am good enough, I just need to get my gears rolling.

I have a feeling, one that is of my heart. One that says, no matter the struggle, I will stand tall. I will overcome anything that the demons have for me. I will do anything to become the person that I know I can be. I will be the one that God made me to be. I will make him proud. That attitude is starting today.
I have always had a negative tone to my voice. It is annoying tone, and one that I wish I could get rid of, but it seems like when something is going good, something stupid happens. I feel that if I have two good days, then that means that I will have three bad days. That is usually what happens, too, but it isnt because bad things happen, though. It is because I will dwell on the bad instead of the good. Little things become big deals to me, on those days. If someone flips me off, as an example, that will ruin my day, and put me in a bad mood. This is how my mind works, and has worked for years. But all this will change, starting today.
I cant be depressed, anymore. I have too much good going for me. I am at the top of where I can be at my job, and I make good money. I always have extra cash at the next paycheck. My bills are always fully paid off, and there is never a question if we will have the money to pay next month. We get to go out, and have fun. We have a warm house. My writing is starting to catch attention of some viewers. I have nothing to stress about, anymore.
I have to get out of this down-mood, or I will never further myself in life. I will have a bad day, and will cut everyone off. But the worse part is; when I get into a bad mood, my blog suffers horribly. I will be angry when I edit the post, and it causes me to think badly of perfectly great work, which in the end is gutted and posted anyways. Then when I simmer down, I look at the support, and wonder why I hated the blog so much in the first place.
But when I was sitting here, I began to think. I wondered why I was always in a bad mood. There was the pattern, listed above, and I knew I needed to change. That is when I began to change for the better. Every time something stupid happens now, I just remind myself of the amazing days that are coming up. This has tripled the amount of Good days I have, in a week. I seem to be happier, and my blog is enhancing due to it. I am proud that I am feeling this way. I know it is needed, and I hope that you guys can take my experience and make your attitude better, as well!

This is the best day of the year. What could be better than a day dedicated to pulling pranks on people? I love to play practical jokes on my friends and family. I like to plan these jokes in advance. I have been planning this one prank for the last week, simply waiting for this day, April Fools Day. I had every “i” dotted and every “t” crossed. I had my weaponry loaded, now I was waiting for a clear shot on my opponent, which was my workplace. I work at a pretty small restaurant, inside a Walmart. Our business has never been good, but it also hasn’t been this bad. The whole restaurant chain isnt doing well, since we are small, we haven’t been meeting targets. This was a perfect reason for our owners to shut the doors, and leave the employees without a job. That was the overall plan, to convince them our owners were shutting the doors for good.
The plan was to write a note and leave it on our security gate; so when the openers got in, they would see the note and freak out. My boss and I were there for inventory, so we would get to see and hear the initial reaction, and would be able to laugh it out with them. I spent last night writing a long note, acting as the owner, to tell them that he was sorry about closing the doors. The note was perfect, it was going to sell well. We just had to get it into the right hands, which is what happened.
There is this kid, Rick, that freaks out about small things. I appreciate him, he is a funny guy and is fun to mess with; that is why it was amazing that he got the note. He was the first one to work. When he got to the gate, one of the Walmart greeters told him that he needed to read the note. He opened the note and gave it a quick glimpse then gave the note over to the opening manager. The manager knew it was a joke. He knew that our owner wouldn’t leave such a note on the gate. He gave us the note, after giving us the note, we admitted to it being an April Fools. But as I thought the plan was spoiled, Rick came around the corner. He was clearly worried. He kept repeating the same thing “I can’t believe we are closing.” I laughed, as I thought he was going along with the joke, but then I realized, he truly believed the lie. He was now vulnerable to more of an attack. I wasn’t about to pass this opportunity up. I got together with my boss and came up with a follow up story, one that would make Rick freak out even more than he already was.
This is when we decided to come up with a list, a list of the people that would be transferred. Cleverly, my boss thought of a great idea. The only people that would be transferred would be managers, all the others would be giving a three-week notice. I laughed It out as I began to taunt him with the “news”. I could see the fear in his eyes, as he just was informed that he was no longer able to save his job. This was the start, though. I was still wanting to up the ante and get more people in on it. So when people would come in for their shift, I would tell them what we were doing, and they agreed to go along with it. This included freaking out about the news and throwing tantrums, until we sat him down to “fire” him. The prank got real fun when his replacement came into work. I hurried out to the lobby, and pulled each replacement to the side. I told them the story, and told them that we were coming up with a plan to “fire” everyone, I also informed them that they needed to freak out to the max.
During my conversation with the replacements, little did I know that my boss was scheming up a plan to make this kid cry. He got a employee roster and wrote down their “last day”, but put stars next to the names of people that were there for longer than six months, these people would be giving until the doors close to find a job. But there was a twist, an employee that was on probation (for a write-up) wouldn’t be giving this opportunity, but they would be the first to be fired; we decided to go this route, since the kid had just gotten back from a suspension. We wanted to get everybody hyped, so we got everyone together and informed them that our owner had giving us everyone’s last day, and told them that we would be talking to everyone, individually. Rick was the first on the list, so we asked him to come out into the lobby with us.
Rick, my boss, and I sat at one of the round tables, in the lobby. The look on Ricks face was priceless, he knew what was coming to him. He knew that he was the first one out. This made for a juicy grand finale, one that I hoped to make him cry. My boss shook his head and looked down at the roster. He began to tell him the reason for the note, and what it would mean for his future. I had to hold my mouth, as I was about to die from laughter. He explained that the owner wanted to give him three weeks, but since he was on probation, he decided to cut him first. His eyes were nearly watering, while he took all this in, but he stood tall and accepted it. My boss gave him the termination form, which read “April fools” at the bottom, after the explanation of the termination. Rick quickly signed the paper and told us that he would return his uniform tomorrow, as his lip trembled. We prompted him to read it over, again, which he did.
He jumped from the table and started to pace, after shouting. The whole restaurant exploded in laughter. Even customers were laughing after hearing a majority of the conversation. I walked to the back of the restaurant, dying from the laughter. The accomplices were standing in a line, waiting for a high five. I gladly slapped their hand while walking to the back. Rick came to the back and congratulated my boss and I on the prank. I gave him a high five, and walked out of the store. He followed. This is when I told him that the whole day was a prank, every second. He shook his head dumbfounded that he didn’t catch on. After all, what owner leaves a note on a closed gate?
