Time of remembering

Posted: June 7, 2015 in Uncategorized

This weekend was full of things that triggered my memory. Some were for the best and some I wish never would have came up. But each memory was because two events happened: the BBQ and my brothers graduation.
Now since I have a following on twitter and instagram, I will explain what the BBQ is. In my home town there is this weekend long Carnival, while being spiced up with elephant ears and corn dogs. It’s a great way to blow off steam right after school gets out for the summer.
I would go to this event every year, find my friends and ride as many rides as possible with them. Well until our tickets ran out. This amazing event would give us time to be kids even while growing up. It allowed us to be kids without getting into trouble.
My little sister, Alison Coats won the miss virginia pageant. Which I never went and watched but I knew that it was hard to be crowned so I just wanted to say congrats! You deserve it.
Now to talk about my brother-in-law. He recently finished his schooling for Southeast high in Springfield illinois. It was a long ride for him but for his family and friends sitting out in the crowd, it was the happiest day of our lives. He finally did it! Congrats Johnny.
It was a great weekend. Even though I wasn’t able to attend the BBQ for the second straight year due to work. I still remember all the times I was off and got to go.
Then going to graduation last night showed me that I want to go back to school. I miss walking down hallways. Laughing with friends until we cried. I miss the passion of the teachers to get us out. But most importantly I miss the atmosphere. The atmosphere of knowing that you are about to do great things.
Congrats to the class of ’15
